Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026. This explains what Iron Feather Outfitters collects when you visit ironfeatheroutfitters.com or ask to book a hunt, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Iron Feather Outfitters is a licensed Idaho outfitter and guide service offering guided duck and goose hunts in the Boise Treasure Valley. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Iron Feather Outfitters. You can reach us at booking@ironfeatheroutfitters.com or 208-328-5090.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our booking form, you give us your name, phone number, the hunt type you want, your party size, and your preferred dates. You may also give us an email address (optional) and tell us whether anyone in your party qualifies for our veteran or youth half-price rate. We use that to apply the discount and for nothing else. If you call, text, or email us, we keep those messages so we can follow up.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our site, our hosting provider and our advertising tools may receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the page that sent you here. If you arrived from one of our ads, we also keep the ad campaign details from the link you clicked (for example, the campaign name and an ad click ID). We store those details in your browser for up to 30 days so we can connect your booking request to the ad that brought you. They are saved with your request in our booking system.
How we use it
- To answer your request, confirm a hunt, and communicate about your booking.
- To run our business: scheduling, guides, payments, and record keeping.
- To measure which of our ads and web pages lead to bookings, and to improve them (including with Google Analytics).
- To show our ads to people who may be interested in guided hunts, and to find people similar to those who have already contacted us.
- To keep our site and systems secure and to meet legal obligations.
Advertising and tracking technologies
Our site uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the TikTok Pixel. These small scripts set cookies or similar identifiers and tell Meta and TikTok which pages you view and when you submit a booking request.
We also send information to Meta and TikTok from our own systems. When a booking request moves through our process (for example, when we contact you, when you book, or when a hunt is completed), we may send that event to Meta and TikTok. We include your phone number and email address only in hashed (scrambled, one-way) form, so the platforms can match the event to their users and measure our ads. We do not send your name or the contents of your messages. Meta and TikTok handle that information under their own privacy policies.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site, such as which pages are viewed and which links lead to booking requests. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. We also report a booking request to Google Analytics as a conversion, without your name, phone number, or email. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Your choices: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a browser that blocks trackers, or turn on the Global Privacy Control setting. You can adjust ad personalization in your Meta ad preferences and your TikTok app settings. You can also contact us and ask us not to send your information to ad platforms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Website and booking system hosting and database providers (Netlify and Supabase), which store your booking request.
- Email providers (Google Workspace), which carry our booking notifications and our messages to you.
- Advertising and analytics platforms (Meta, TikTok, and Google), as described above.
- Our guides and staff, who see only what they need for the hunts they work.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
If our business is sold or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests and customer records for as long as needed to serve you, keep our business and tax records, and handle any disputes. After that, we delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see below).
Security
Our booking records are stored in a database with access limited to our owners, office staff, and the guides assigned to a hunt. We use encryption in transit and keep passwords and access keys in secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, including to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email booking@ironfeatheroutfitters.com. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it, and we'll respond within 45 days.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number on a booking request, we may call you about your hunt request or booking. We do not send text messages to customers or website visitors. Our only text messages are internal alerts sent to our own owners and operators, who sign up with their own mobile numbers; see Team Text Alerts. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers collected for text alerts are never used for advertising and are never sent to Meta, TikTok, or any other advertising platform. Reply STOP to any alert to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
Children
Our hunts welcome young hunters, but our website and booking form are meant for adults, including parents and guardians who book for a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site links to our pages on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook and may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
